About the Artist

Hi! My name is Shabnam Adiban, an Iranian artist and illustrator based in Canada, specializing in book illustration and visual storytelling. I grew up surrounded by the rich mythology and poetic history of Persian culture! especially the Shahnameh (The Book of Kings), a monumental epic written over 1,000 years ago by Ferdowsi.

This custom deck of cards is my tribute to some of the noblest and most iconic characters from that timeless work. Each card is carefully designed to capture the spirit of these ancient heroes and to keep their stories alive in a beautiful, tangible form you can hold, share, and enjoy.
